***Place Finished example based on 100 players paying 10% of the field. Top 10 inverted to give 1st place the most points and 10th place the least points. An example with 20 places paid would have 20 points for 1st, 19 points for 2nd and 2 points for 19th, 1 point for 20th.

The goal of the C.P.T. points system is to provide poker players with an incentive to become members of the Canadian Poker Tour and participate in multiple tour events across the country. The points system is designed to reward players for their consistent achievement in C.P.T. events and allow them the opportunity to compete in a national tour which crowns a Canadian poker champion. A Canadian Poker Tour player membership will be required to earn C.P.T. player points in a sanctioned C.P.T. event. The C.P.T. is offering substantial value to our tour members in competing for prizes, including a sponsorship contract valued at close to $100,000 to the champion of the televised C.P.T. finals. The C.P.T. points system is calculated by multiplying the Buy-in points times the Place finished points to equal a total C.P.T. points value for that event.

2010 C.P.T. Players Points leader board & Top 50

As players participate in any sanctioned C.P.T. poker tournament they will have the opportunity to earn valuable C.P.T. players points by finishing in a paid money position (usually top 10% of the field). A Canadian Poker Tour player membership ($95+G.S.T.) will be required to activate your C.P.T. player points to make you then eligible to compete for the prizes associated with our leader board and top 50 points leaders.

***Players who compete in a tournament and earn C.P.T. points have exactly one week from the conclusion of that event to sign up as a C.P.T. member to retain the points earned. Failure to meet this deadline will result in an automatic forfeit of previous points earned without exception!

The tracking of the C.P.T. points collected, leader board and top 50, will be displayed on the website www.canadianpokertour.tv and points will be posted with the final results from each C.P.T. event. We value our membership and will do our best to reward as many poker players from across the country for their participation in Canadian Poker Tour events. Here is a list of current prizes available to be won.

The Top 50 C.P.T. points leaders will receive airfare and accommodations to the C.P.T. Player Point Showdown Free Roll the second week of January 2010, to play off for the following prizes:

1st place in the Player Points Showdown will receive a championship ring and a 1 year sponsorship contract for a minimum of 10 major events both in Canada and around the world. Included is buy-ins to the Main event of the WSOP, as well as World Poker Showdown events and all major C.P.T. events. The winner will be featured in all participating C.P.T. media venues as Canada's next “Television Poker Superstar”. The 1 year sponsorship contract is worth an estimated $100,000.

Players who finish 2nd to 6th in the Player Points Showdown will receive a Canadian Poker Sponsorship contract for 2010 to attend a minimum of 8 major CPT events from Coast to Coast and be an official member of Team C.P.T.. These prizes will include profiles in the Canadian Poker Player magazine, The Score Television Network as well as having their own blogs on our C.P.T. website. These sponsorship contracts are worth an estimated $25,000 each.

The C.P.T. will definitely do our best to continually offer greater rewards for the players to win through competition. As we continue to grow the opportunities will increase and will be made available to the players at the earliest moment possible.
